Hello, my name is Aleeya Francis and I am the new principal of St. Charles Borromeo School. I am very excited about being here to work with the faculty, staff, parents, and especially the students.

To most of you I may be a familiar face, and that is because I am not new to the St. Charles family. I am an alumnus of St. Charles Borromeo School, an Associate of the Sister of the Blessed Sacrament, and a former St. Charles teacher.

I taught in St. Charles for thirteen years until I decided that there was more that I had to do and more that I wanted to do for my St. Charles family. I went on to study at St. John’s University for my degree in School Building Leadership and I then left while I finished my studies to work as an assistant principal at a Catholic School in the Bronx.

Throughout my time away from St. Charles, I prayed that God would one day allow for me to come back to the place that I held so near and dear to my heart. Thankfully, I can say God answered my prayer and now I am here to give back to the school and the community that has done so very much for me.

I am looking forward to working with our children here at St. Charles to set goals and achieve them with the hard work that they will have to put forth and with the support that they will receive from the entire St. Charles Borromeo community.
